1. What is the guarantee seal?

The carton quality assurance seal (BMC) is a mark of quality assurance, which proves that all physical properties of the current cartons meet or exceed the index stated in the quality assurance seal. Its function is to show that the current cartons are in line with the transportation requirements and standards and suitable for transportation.

Strictly speaking, the carton quality assurance seal is only a regulation on the physical performance of the carton, not the whole quality, for example, it does not include the printing drawing effect, size specification, water and moisture resistance, etc., so it can only be called the carton physical performance assurance seal or the carton protection function assurance seal.

The guarantee chapter BMC cannot be interpreted as the specifications of the cartons. It is a mandatory requirement of the cartons users and can be used to solve the disputes that may arise during the complaint.

2. Purpose and function of BMC

There are two main purposes of printing quality assurance chapter, one is to standardize and supervise the quality of cartons, the other is to promise the quality to customers. Carton users generally require the carton supplier to print the guarantee seal on the carton to ensure that the carton can meet the requirements of customers on all aspects of the performance of the carton. And this guarantee chapter enables customers to trace back to the production supplier. Once the carton has quality problems, customers can take this as the basis for accountability.

3. Various types of guarantee seal

The appearance of carton guarantee seal is usually the figure of round seal, and a few use rectangle, so it is commonly known as guarantee seal. The guarantee seal shall be designed and printed in the prescribed format and content. In addition, the size of the guarantee chapter is also clearly defined.

The U.S. railway transport packaging classification rule 41 requires that the warranty seal be printed on a prominent position on the outer surface of the carton. Generally, the carton factory usually prints on the bottom of the carton and the outer cover.

2、 Specifications of guarantee seal

In accordance with the provisions of 41 classification rules for railway transport packaging, the seal shall be printed on the outer surface of the carton in a conspicuous position, which is composed of two concentric circles of the same size. The diameter of the outer circle is (3 ± 1 / 4) inch, (69.9mm-82.6mm).

If the carton length is less than 10 inches (25.4cm) or the width is less than 9 inches (22.9cm), the guarantee seal can be appropriately reduced. However, the outer diameter shall not be less than 2 inches (50.8mm).

For combined packaging, ensure that the seal is printed on the outer surface of the outermost carton, with the shape of rectangle and the size of (31 / 2 * 2) ± 1 / 4 inch, i.e. (82.6 ~ 95.3) mm * (44.5 ~ 57.2) mm or the width of less than 9 inch (22.9mm), then ensure that the size of the seal can be appropriately reduced, but the outer size shall not be less than 11 / 4 * 21 / 4 inch, i.e. (31.8 * 57.2) mm.

3、 Translation and reading of guarantee chapter

Translate and explain the following parts:

"Ye woo Paper Packing Co., Ltd." on the upper part of the outer circle indicates the name of "carton manufacturer".

The first line of the inner circle "box certificate" means "carton guarantee seal".

The second and third lines of the inner circle "this triple wall" indicate that the specification of the paperboard is "three corrugations". Various specifications are listed as follows:

Inner circle four, five and six lines "box measures all construction requirements of applicable freight classification" means "the carton construction conforms to the U.S. Transportation classification standard".

"Edge crush test (ECT)" and "67lbs / in" in the second column of the inner circle indicate that "edge crush test (ECT)" is not less than "67 lb / in". 67 lb / in is equivalent to 11732n / m.

Some old versions of the guarantee chapter stipulate the bursting strength (bursting strength) of the cartons, such as "bursting test", "200" LBS.PER.SQ . inch "means that the bursting strength of cartons of this specification shall be 200 psi. Equivalent to 13.9 kg / cm2.

The old version of three corrugated box has put forward requirements for the puncture strength, such as: "pull test", "700 units" means that the "puncture strength" of the box is not less than "700 units". 700 units is equivalent to 21 joules.

The third column of the inner circle "size limit 75 inches" means "the carton size does not exceed 240 inches". 75 inches is 190.5cm. The dimension here refers to the comprehensive dimension of length + width + height of the carton.

There is also a column in the old carton guarantee chapter“ MIN.COMBWT.FACINGS Eighty-four LBS.PER .M. SQ.FT ”It means that the minimum quantitative sum of corrugated board top paper, bottom paper and medium paper shall not be less than 84 pounds / thousand square feet, equivalent to 410 grams / square meters. Note that corrugated paper is not included in this calculation.

In the fourth column of the inner circle, "gross wtlt 110 lbs" means that "the total weight of the carton after loading the goods shall not exceed 110 lbs.". 110 pounds is 50 kilograms.
